Gamer Con - Consignor's Guide
Location: 1701 Woodroffe Ave., Ottawa - Halls A&B Nepean Sportsplex Entrance 3
Drop Off Schedule:
Please, when possible, stick to the drop off timeframe you gave when filling out your registration form (the time you choose would be sent to you as a reminder in your "Welcome to Consignor's Corner" email. If you need to change the timeframe, please send us an email. This timeframe is important as it allows us to make sure we have enough volunteers to greet our consignors and help put your items out. If for some reason you can't make it at all, please also send us an email to let us know.
Drop Off Procedure:
Gamer Con is taking place in Halls A&B. You will drive to the back of the Nepean Sportsplex and find Entrance 3. Please use this entrance only (not the side doors) to bring your items in. Once inside, to your left you will see a ramp leading to some double doors. Through those doors you will find a consignor "check in". One of our volunteers will help you bring your items into the Consignor's Corner area to inspect and display your items.
Pricing and Preparing Your Items:
1.) Print off the price tags --> click "here" to download them. You can print them on regular 8.5" x 11" paper and they print 12 per sheet. 2.) Price your items (we recommend making a note of what the item is to avoid any tags getting mixed up - this is not mandatory, just a suggestion). Make sure you have clearly written a price and your unique consignor code on each tag! Consignor codes will be issued when we sent you the "Welcome to Consignor's Corner" email. Please do not use any other code besides the one we give you. If an item does not have your code or a price, we cannot sell it!
3.) Attach your tags to the items. Below you will find some examples of how you can price your items. We know this consignment idea is not new to many of you, but we also recognize that this might be your first time. From our experience, the following examples is what has worked best for us.

We highly recommend using painters tape to affix your price tags. The reason being, when we sell an item, we will remove the price tag and you will receive it back so you can see what has sold. Painters tape makes it easy to remove the tag without damaging the item. Either blue or green tape works the best. What we have done in the examples above is put a little piece behind the tag to hold the bottom down and then put tape across where it says "tape here".
For video games with plastic sleeves, we like to insert the tags inside the cover and slide them down a bit. We also recommend NOT taping the video games closed. They will not sell if customers can't check the condition of the game or to make sure the right game is in the case. We will have volunteers and staff stationed at the Consignors Corner to watch, interact with and help customers.
For board games or any games that come with accessories, we HIGHLY suggest taping the boxes closed with painters tape. This is to keep all contents inside the boxes. We also suggest writing "complete" on the tags so customers know OR if something is missing like instructions or a game piece, please write that on your tag.

Reminder of the General Rules you agreed to when registering to consign:
- I understand that the organizers of Geeked Out Events / Gamer Con will run the Consignor's Corner themselves and/or hire staff to manage Consignor's Corner. I understand that neither the organizers or the staff may negotiate on items brought in for sale.
- The organizers of Gamer Con are not responsible for any damaged or stolen items before, during or after the event. (We recommend writing a short description on your pricing tags of the item you are selling to avoid tags being switched - this is not mandatory but rather a hint on how to avoid items being swapped out).
- I understand that no consignment items will be accepted after 9:30am on Saturday, December 2nd.
- I understand that I will need to pick up my unsold items no later than 6pm on Saturday, December 2nd. Failing to do so will mean we will remove the items and store them for up to 7 days for a fee of $20.00. If after 7 days they are not picked up, your remaining items are forfeited and donated to local organizations.
- I understand that I must clearly write a price and my consignor number on each tag and will make sure that I affix the tags properly to my items.
- I understand that any representatives of Gamer Con (organizers or staff) cannot sell my items if no price is on them. (Please make sure that all price tags are securely attached to each item - we recommend using painters tape in order to not damage the items).
- I understand that all items must be in CLEAN condition and in working order and complete. If they are not, you MUST disclose that on your price tag. Example 1: Selling Xbox console for parts - you must say it's for parts. Saying "as is" is not acceptable. Example 2: Board games must have all pieces included. If some are missing, you must disclose that. If you know of a problem with your item, please disclose it.
- I understand that I will pick up payment and any unsold items at the end of the Event between 4:30pm-6pm on December 2nd. I understand that in most instances cash will be given for my sold items. I understand that if needed, an e-transfer will be sent in leu of cash. I understand that as a record of items sold, price tags from each item sold will be given back to the consignors.
- I understand that the organizers of Gamer Con can deny or refuse any items they feel are unsellable.
