​Horror-Fi Vendor Information & Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in vending at Horror-Fi. 
​
Horror-Fi is a curated Horror and Science Fiction event. Every booth must be dedicated entirely to Horror and/or Science Fiction. This is not a general pop culture show.

​Please read the following carefully before applying.

Theme Requirement – 100% Horror or Sci-Fi.  If an attendee walks up to your booth, it should be immediately obvious that you belong at Horror-Fi.


🖤 Examples of Accepted Horror Brands & Titles. This list is broad, but gives a clear idea of what fits.
  • Halloween (the movie and the holiday)
  • A Nightmare on Elm Street / The Exorcist / Child’s Play
  • Anything by Stephen King
  • Stranger Things
  • The Walking Dead
  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre
  • Horror-Comedy: Scooby-Doo, Beetlejuice, Ghostbusters, etc
  • Monsters: Godzilla, King Kong, Jaws/Sharks
  • Universal Monsters
  • ​Monster High (yes, the dolls)
  • Paranormal themes (ghosts, demons, cryptids, spirits, anything spooky)
Horror anime that is clearly horror, spooky or ghost based may be considered - Example: Ghost type Pokemon plushies.

  • Star Wars
  • Star Trek
  • Alien vs Predator
  • Doctor Who
  • The X-Files
  • E.T. / Alf
  • Dune / The Matrix / Terminator
  • Battlestar Galactica / Stargate
  • Back to the Future
  • Sci-Fi gaming properties

🖤 Gothic & Dark Aesthetic. We will welcome:
  • Gothic or macabre art, products and apparel
  • Paranormal and occult-inspired goods
We do not accept:
  • Please see "Animal & Specimen Policy" below

🖤 Not Accepted
The following categories do not fit Horror-Fi unless directly horror or sci-fi themed:
  • General anime
  • Pokémon, unless ghost/spooky type
  • Disney (except Nightmare Before Christmas) 
  • Superheroes (unless clearly sci-fi based and approved)
  • General gaming
  • Cute/kawaii merchandise
  • Mixed pop culture booths
If you are unsure whether your products qualify, please contact us before applying.
​🖤 Animal & Specimen Policy
Horror-Fi does not permit the sale or display of preserved mammals, birds, reptiles or other vertebrate animals, including but not limited to:
  • Taxidermy
  • Wet specimens in jars
  • Preserved puppies, kittens, chicks, ducks, or other animals
  • Art pieces incorporating whole animals
While we understand that some of these items may be ethically sourced and are present at other events, they do not align with the atmosphere and values we are building for Horror-Fi.

The following are permitted:
  • Insect specimens (butterflies, moths, beetles, etc.)
  • Educational entomology displays
  • Faux / replica specimens
  • Clearly artificial props
  • Bone art (use of skulls or bones are allowed)
If you are unsure whether your products fall within these guidelines, please contact us prior to applying.  Horror-Fi reserves the right to require removal of any items that do not comply with this policy.

🖤 What We’re Looking For. 
We encourage applications from:
  • Horror and sci-fi sellers & artists
  • Indie horror and sci-fi authors
  • Prop and replica makers / SFX artists
  • Paranormal vendors
  • Dark apparel brands tied to genre
  • Cryptid and folklore creators

🖤 Curation Process - Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
When filling out the application, please provide as much details as possible, especially if only part of your business is horror/sci-fi.  We know some vendors have been hoarding things they don't normally take to other events.  Please make sure you give details of what you will be selling or making that is just for Horror-Fi. 
​🖤 Booth Details & Options
Horror-Fi offers multiple booth configurations to accommodate different vendor needs.  All booth spaces are curated and assigned based on event layout and category balance. We will do our best to give you the space you ask for, but it is on a first come first serve bases.  Space requests will be determined on availability at the time of your application.

Standard 8’ x 10’ Booth Options (all measure 8 feet deep x 10 feet across)
  • 8’ x 10’ (Standard) – $150.00
  • 8’ x 10’ (Corner) – Corner placement with two open sides - $165.00
Premium 10’ x 10’ Booth 
  • 10’ x 10’ (With Power & Rear Access Space) – Includes electrical access and space behind your booth to sit or stand  $180.00
Booth placement is determined by event layout and product category to ensure a balanced and cohesive show floor.

What’s Included - Each booth includes:
  • One 6' (x 30 inches) table (extras available for $10.00 each)
  • One chair (extra available upon arrival)
  • Two vendor passes for each booth
Vendors are responsible for:
  • Table coverings
  • Extension cords / power bars (if access to power is granted)
  • Additional lighting or display structures
  • Ensuring their booth setup remains within their designated footprint
Set-up Details:
  • TBD, but there will be a Friday set-up - minimum of 6 hours. A full vendor guide with floor plan and vendor list will be sent to vendors 7-10 days before Horror-Fi.

​Marketing & Promotion
Horror-Fi will be supported by a focused and strategic marketing campaign designed to drive targeted attendance.

Our promotional efforts include:
  • Consistent and engaging social media promotion
  • Paid sponsored advertisements across key platforms
  • Radio advertising
  • Vendor spotlights and featured posts
  • Cross-promotion through our established Geeked Out Events network
We are committed to building strong awareness leading up to the event and attracting an audience specifically interested in Horror and Science Fiction.  As with all of our events, we actively invest in promotion to support both the show and our vendors.

🖤 Final Note

Horror-Fi is in its first year. We are building something intentional, immersive, and genre-pure from the ground up.
